Scottish two-masted schooner, built in 1865. The ship was 28.6 meters long and 7.0 meters wide.
The Ada was en route from Königsberg to England loaded with linseed when she ran aground slightly north of Nexø on December 10, 1867. The grounding was due to navigational errors caused by strong winds and unstable weather with snow showers. Once it was discovered that the vessel had sprung a leak, the crew abandoned ship in the lifeboat and reached the shore with the help of local fishermen. Later, the Ada broke free from the seabed, drifted north, and sank at a depth of 40 meters off Svaneke.
