Coron Bay is a world-class diving destination famous for its collection of WWII Japanese shipwrecks, accessible to various skill levels. Popular wreck dives include the large oil tanker Okikawa Maru and the seaplane tender Akitsushima. Other popular dive sites include Barracuda Lake, which features a unique halocline and deeper thermocline, and the shallow Lusong Gunboat, which is suitable for snorkelers.

I went to Coron Bay in September 2025 to scan the wrecks. Actually that time of the year is difficult for diving, because of Taifun season (Rain, storm and poor visibility).
