One of the four airplane wrecks in Subic Bay (Philippines) It is thought that the aircraft was detached from the USS Lexington CV-16 and crashed into Subic Bay on the 9th of January 1962 killing its 4 crew.
Located in Subic Bay, this AD-5Q aircraft sits perfectly upright on a silty bottom 36 meters below the surface. It is a unique four-seater, characterized by its unusual seating arrangement: two pilots up front and two passengers in the back, seated back-to-back. Divers will find the 20mm wing cannons still in place and can peer into a cockpit where the original gauges and controls are still clearly defined and visible through the silt.
